Modest is Hottest!

Modest is Hottest seems to be a theme that many young women groups are focusing on lately. We took our dresses up to visit another youth group in Heber, UT last week. As always, the girls LOVED it! Here are some snap shots of the girls posing. We love taking our dresses to these activities to see the girls feeling beautiful and being modest.

What's your sign?

We are almost done updating the store. Last week we got a new sign for our parking lot and it is much much better. Here are the before and after pictures. What do you think?

This is the old sign.

You can still see the outline of the precious moments figures that we ripped off months ago.

I couldn't wait for the new sign, they just had to go.

Here is the new sign! Do you like it?

One of our preferred vendors put it together for us. You can check out his announcements at http://www.announcetheday.com/

Brain Freeze

Things have been super crazy at the store for the past 6+ weeks. We've been juggling things like: bridal market, traveling trunk shows, new computer systems, photo shoots, magazine ads, and extended store hours. Needless to say, my head is spinning. But no matter how crazy life seems to get at times, things always seem to work out. During the past few weeks I've helped a lot of Brides who are juggling just as much. Working, job seeking, studying, moving, not to mention planning a wedding! Because I completely understand when your brain refuses to think anymore, let alone be creative, I wanted to share some links that might help in your wedding planning process. Good luck, and remember, it'll all work out!

This is a fun idea, printed poster where guests can sign their names. Seen on etsy here.

I love how bright and colorful this is. Found here

This is a great diy centerpiece for a winter wedding

A source for unique wedding ideas that I stumbled upon via pinterest is Here, however, I think their name could be more creative. :)

This is another fun site with decor ideas and video-how-to's. http://accentdecorinspire.blogspot.com/

I hope these help give you some fresh ideas in your planning!

Market in Chicago!

In September we (my hubby and I) went to Chicago for the National Bridal Market. We had so much fun seeing, and buying, the new lines for spring. This was the first time either of us had been to Chicago and we loved it.

This large white building is the Merchandise Mart. The market was held here on the 7th and 8th floors. This building takes over 2 city blocks!

Imagine rows and rows and rows of this: dresses, manequins, models, sparkling accessories and people ready to take your order! You can't see the end of the aisle in the picture, but it went on forever.
They had a fashion show to introduce some of the new lines. Can you see the super tall girl off to the left? She was on stilts with a wedding dress that still went to the floor. Very dramatic opening.

Here she is walking the runway, waving silver ribbons.

This show was all about DRAMA. I don't know if any of my brides would go for a hat that size.

Here are a few of the girls coming in, ready to go down the catwalk.

Look! A dress with sleeves was in the fashion show! This dress was georgous all-over lace.

These ladies were so much fun. The gal on the left, Joyce, is the dress designer for Loanne Paris (I'm the one in the middle) and Terri, on the right, answered all of our questions. We are really excited to get some of their dresses in the store.

These ladies are with the Wedding Gown Preservation company. They are super nice and have a great new program for preservation that I'm really excited about.

Ladies Night in Provo!

A group of girls from Provo came to the store for an activity on September 14th. We had a lot of fun talking to them about our store and helping them try on dresses. Even some of their leaders got in on the fun. Take a look!
